Hamilton Students and Stan Neron Celebrate Women’s History Month

Student Connect

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron visited Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy to speak to a group of young women from the school who attended a screening of Hidden Figures, a motion picture that tells the story of a team of African-American women mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the United States space program. The discussion with the students focused on the past and present societal struggles faced by women, especially women of color. During his visit to the school, Mr. Neron was also stunned and truly touched by the gesture of the students of Hamilton Preparatory Academy who helped him celebrate his birthday by throwing him a surprise party.
