    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron visited Thomas Jefferson Arts Academy, Joseph Battin School No. 4, and Abraham Lincoln School No. 14 during Week 4 of “We Believe – The President’s Tour”. Board President Neron enjoyed meeting with students and team members at each respective school and observing the unique and innovative lessons taking place. Elementary and high school students alike were connecting with his message of believing in yourself, achieving greatness, and doing the unthinkable.



    Thomas Jefferson Arts Academy


    Board of Education President Stan Neron visited Jefferson Arts. During the visit, Mr. Neron met with students and team-members and shared thoughts about perseverance and personal goals. Joined by student activities director Frank Mazza, both leaders inspired students with their personal stories and encouragement.

    Joseph Battin School No. 4


    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron visited Joseph Battin School No. 4 . Mr. Neron toured the building with School No. 4 principal Ben Candelino and visited four classrooms to interact with students, talking to them about life lessons and the ability that everyone has to succeed in life if “you believe”. He also spent time interacting with security guards, custodians, and cafeteria works during his visit. Students and team members were very excited that Mr. Neron took the time to connect with their school and truly enjoyed their time with him. The students at School No. 4 realize that Mr. Neron is a product of Elizabeth and a true inspiration to the students of our district.

    Abraham Lincoln School No. 14


    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron's visit to Abraham Lincoln School No. 14 coincided with the annual celebration of Read Across America.  Mr. Neron visited with several middle school classrooms and talked to the students about their importance, perseverance, and never giving up.  His visit culminated in a surprise reading of "Will You Please Go Now" by Dr. Seuss to one of the first grade classes.  All of the students enjoyed Mr. Neron's visits and look forward to his return.
